What the Getsurume app runs

Getsurume is one emulator app for iPhone and iPad. Here are the consoles the matched build is tested against:

  • PlayStation 2. The PS2 games you own, on the phone in your pocket.
  • PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Heavier games, so the check matters more on older devices.
  • PS Vita. Handheld games on a handheld screen.
  • PS1, partly. It runs through the PS2 side of the app, so some PS1 games work and some do not.

How the matched build works

  1. You press Install the build on the iPhone or iPad you will play on.
  2. The page checks each console against that device and its iOS version, row by row, so you see what fits before anything downloads.
  3. The 896 MB install prepared for your device appears.
  4. It starts with a quick check. Every step reads in your choice of eleven languages.

Before you install

  • Getsurume comes with no games. It runs the copies you already own.
  • Clear just over 896 MB on the device first, so the install does not stop halfway.
  • If you play on both an iPhone and an iPad, run the check on each one: the build is matched to the device in your hand.
